How we collect prices
Every night from 2:00 AM Pakistan time, our crawler reads the product pages of the stores we track. Prices on the site are updated by about 3:30 AM, and every offer shows when we last saw it on the store’s page.
Checks every price passes
- A store’s listing is shown only once it matches exactly one model. Exact model-number matches go live automatically; everything else is checked by a person.
- Monthly installment amounts, empty prices and “call for price” are never shown as a price.
- Prices far from what other stores charge are held for review. A drop of more than 30% is shown only after the next day’s check confirms it.
- Out-of-stock offers are shown greyed out and never count as the lowest price.
Our crawler
The crawler identifies itself as ApplianceRateBot/1.0, obeys each store’s robots.txt, requests at most one page every 2 seconds per store, and never logs in or gets around blocks. We record facts only — model, price, stock and specifications — and never copy store descriptions or reviews.
Store owners: if you would rather we didn’t crawl your site, block ApplianceRateBot in robots.txt, or contact us to send a product feed instead.
